Sydney Bewsher

ydney Bewsher is a dedicated and passionate swimmer, and a valuable member of the UNB REDS swim team. She was drawn to the team's amazing atmosphere and close-knit community, with an amazing support system within the team and everyone stepping up to be there for one another. Sydney currently holds the position of Team Captain, which showcases her leadership and dedication to the team.

In her free time, Sydney enjoys watching her favourite TV show "The Office" and listening to music. Her current pump-up song for meets is "Demons" by Drake, and her favourite part about swimming meets is the excitement of finals. She has had some memorable and proud moments throughout her swimming journey, including competing at Usports 2022, earning a bronze medal in the 200 fly at AUS 2022, and being a part of Team Nova Scotia/Canada Games 2017.

Sydney describes the team as "family, supportive, and energizing". Her favourite memory with the team is the tradition of breakfast at coach Marta's house, which brings the team together and strengthens the bond they share. Sydney is a dedicated and hardworking athlete and continues to make a positive impact on the UNB REDS swim team.
